Details

St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1931, is the gateway to the Panhandle section of the Florida Birding Trail and provides wintering habitat for migratory birds and waterfowl.

Loons, Grebes, Pelicans, Herons, Egrets, Ibises, Spoonbill, Stork, Waterfowl, Vultures, Hawks, Wild Turkey, Rails, Gallinules, Coots, Cranes, Shorebirds, Pigeons, Doves, Cuckoos, Owls, Nightjars, Swifts, Hummingbirds, Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, Flycatchers, Martins, Swallows, Jays, Crows, Chickadees, Titmice, Nuthatchers, Creepers, Wrens, Kinglets, Gnatcatchers, Bluebirds, Thrushes, Robins, Thrashers, Pipits, Waxwings, Starlings, Shrikes, Vireos, Warblers, Tanagers, New World Finches, Sparrows, Blackbirds, Grackles, Cowbirds, Orioles, Old World Finches, Weaver Finches.
